About Me

here’s my story... I was diagnosed in December and struggled through my second semester of freshman year. I should have taken medical leave but instead “powered through.” I ended up doing badly in classes and realized my school wasn’t the right fit. Then I decided to take the year off and focus on myself (while still taking a few classes to raise my GPA.) In the first semester off I interned with JDRF and took classes at home. The second semester off I went a little deeper. I started by taking nutrition and learning about my own health, then quarantine hit. I did not know what to do, I was stuck inside. so I decided to try something out. I created Fetch Friday and then the Budding Betas and now a company designed to help newly diagnosed T1Ds. My mission here is to create a community that is inspiring, nurturing, and accessible to newly diagnosed type one diabetics!
